FAQ about hypnosis and hypnotherapy

Quite possibly you have some questions about hypnosis and hypnotherapy, and that's perfectly ok.

Many of my previous clients have felt exactly the same way themselves and they found that by knowing more about hypnosis and having confidence in their hypnotist they recognised that now was the time to benefit from hypnosis themselves.

Some people like to read about something to help make up their minds, other people like to talk things over first and others prefer to think things through and then get a 'gut feel', so whichever way is best for you, you can use this time to decide to let hypnotherapy help you to become the new you.

Some questions answered

Below are some brief answers to the questions I have often been asked. In addition, if you follow this link and you see the names of some of the many celebrities who have publically acknowledged that hypnosis has worked for them.

There is also a blog on which you will find further information about hypnosis and how it can be used to help changes and improvements to our lives.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of focused relaxation, similar to what happens when we find ourselves ‘lost’ in reading a good book or immersed in watching a great film.

It’s a time when we can, just for a while, switch off from the outside world and slowly glide into our imagination, as if we were inside the images conjured up by the words on the page or the scene playing out on the big screen.

Whatever you might have read in magazines or newspapers or seen on television or perhaps watched on the stage, nobody can use hypnosis to make you say or do or act in any way that you are not comfortable with.

Your own mind really is in control and will protect you at all times.

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a safe and natural method whereby a hypnotherapist can help their clients’ unconscious mind to overcome the various blocks or issues that are stopping them from making the changes they want, such as to improve their health or well-being.

It can help you to feel better, heal faster and enable you to become more effective at being the real you.

How long does it take?

Since everyone is unique, an exact answer to this question rather depends upon the particular issue that you want to resolve.

Some issues can be resolved within a few sessions, however, others may require more, perhaps between 7 to 12 sessions.

You will be able to be given a more accurate and personalised answer once you have had the opportunity to discuss your own issues in more detail.
