Why shouldn’t I just join a gym?

That’s a perfect idea … as long as you make sure you go regularly every week and follow all the necessary steps outside of that gym-time.  Remember, your 1 hour of that day’s exercise takes up less than 4 percent of your day and it’s what’s going on for you during the remaining 96 percent that will help to create your success, or failure.  I can help you to align your mind and body so you’re fully committed to change.

Why might I want coaching?

That’s not a question I can answer.  What I can tell you, however, is that if we have a conversation about your dreams, what goals you have for your life and what you want your future to look like, by the end of that conversation you will be more clear about how that coaching conversation has already begun to assist you on that journey.  Drop me a line and I’d love to tell you more.

What can hypnosis help with?

Will it work or have I left it too late to try?

If you’re feeling anything like the many clients I have worked with in the past, then you’ve probably already spent a lot of time thinking about your situation and are even now still wondering whether hypnosis or hypnotherapy could actually help you.

Perhaps you hope hypnosis will work for you, but you’re also concerned that your particular problems or situation might not respond and then you’re going to end up being stuck with your feelings as they are, forever.

So if that’s how you feel then let me assure you that hypnosis is a safe an proven way that has helped many people to overcome problems and challenges, sometimes even issues that they have been attempting to deal with for decades.

Quite often, when clients first meet me, they have in their mind some things that they might want to discuss, along with a few other thoughts that they feel are too embarrassing, uncomfortable or painful to mention.  If that’s how you are feeling at present, you will only ever need to talk about the things you want to and anything you don’t want to discuss can stay safe in the back of your mind. You really will be in control at all times.

Whatever you might have read in magazines or newspapers or seen on television or perhaps watched on the stage, nobody can use hypnosis to make you say or do or act in any way that you are not comfortable with.  Your own mind really is in control and will protect you at all times.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of focused relaxation, similar to what happens when we find ourselves ‘lost’ in reading a good book or immersed in watching a great film.

It’s a time when we can, just for a while, switch off from the outside world and slowly glide into our imagination, as if we were inside the images conjured up by the words on the page or the scene playing out on the big screen.

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a safe and natural method whereby a hypnotherapist can help their clients’ unconscious mind to overcome the various blocks or issues that are stopping them from making the changes they want, such as to improve their health or well-being.

It can help you to feel better, heal faster and enable you to become more effective at being the real you.

Will my medical insurance cover this?

Quite often clients find that some, or all of their treatment fees are covered by individual or corporate medical insurance.  Please contact me and I can discuss this with you. I can provide you with full details of my insurance and registration information so you can confirm any fee coverage you might be entitled to prior to commencing any therapy.

A further consideration whether having a note on your medical records as having received treatment for a ‘mental health issue’ will have an impact upon any career steps you wish to take.  This is why the vast majority of my clients self-pay.

Do you provide a guarantee or offer a refund if it doesn’t work for me?

No one approach can ever guarantee to be 100% effective and sometimes, for whatever reason, a client’s desire to change comes up against some unexpected personal issues which means the result you desired is not achieved.

As my client your own will power is required for the process to work and so no, I do not give refunds as I have provided you with a service to the best of my abilities based upon your personal situation.

Can my doctor or GP refer me to you?

Yes, absolutely, however, with the pressure on hospital funds, don’t expect your doctor to fund your sessions. I do receive clients who have been suggested to contact me via their GP and sometimes it’s nurses and doctors who have contacted me for their own particular issues so perhaps your GP is perhaps already aware of the benefits of hypnosis and hypnotherapy.  If you wish to discuss this, please feel free to contact me for a discussion as to the next steps.

What if I’m unemployed or on a low income?

I’ve been there myself so I know how it feels. Contact me. Tell me why you want to work with me and let’s see what we can do.

How long does the process take?

Since everyone is unique, an exact answer to this question rather depends upon the particular issue that you want to resolve.  Many hypnotists profess to “cure” anything in just 1 session, but the reality isn’t always so clear-cut.

Whilst some issues could perhaps be resolved within just a few sessions, others may require more, perhaps between 4 to 12 visits disclaimer. You will be able to be given a more accurate and personalised answer once you have had the opportunity to discuss your own issues in more detail.

Can I bring someone along with me?

You can for an initial meeting, however, this may well limit the depth of our conversation. You would be required to attend all subsequent sessions on your own, unless I am working with a minor where a parent or guardian would be in attendance at all times.

How can I discover more?
