It’s nearly back to school time (yikes!)
It’s around this time of the year that old problems regarding going back to school, or moving to a new school, begin to start playing even more heavily on the minds of parents and children.
Sometimes it’s just that normal slight apprehension about a new year, perhaps with new classmates & possibly a new uniform.
However, it can also mean that bullying, stress, name-calling and other problems, avoided for the last six weeks, are now going to start up all over again.
Sometimes there are steps the schools can carry out so as to make the things easier, however, in other instances children can get so caught up in what’s happened in the past that they seem unable to move on.
Sometimes also, children are able to cope much better than their parents, who can become very stressed and anxious over issues that their children seem to be able to gloss over without any problems.
If you or your children are having issues around schooling or anything that’s affecting how you feel, there’s every possibility that I may be able to help you get to a much better place emotionally.
Never feel you’re stuck with no-one to speak to.
Following on from my earlier post here’s a message I received from parents of a child after working with them to help with school related issues that were challenging them,
“Hi Charles, thanks for the session, you were fab with X, miles better in one session than all the NHS counselling sessions put together.”
If you need to speak about something that’s troubling you, holding you or your loved-ones back from having an enjoyable and satisfying life, feel free to get in touch for a confidential discussion.
